I am excited to be taking on the role of Board Chair for the next two years for Guadalupe Clinic. I am grateful for the support of the Clinic team, the countless volunteers and knowledgeable board who assist the clinic excel as a community based medical clinic for our community members who face challenges finding quality medical care.
As I look at the role I have accepted for the next two years, I cannot help but be humbled by the original visionaries of the Clinic. They saw a need and took action showing those of us who love the mission of the Clinic how to demonstrate true stewardship of time, talent and treasure.
Without the countless hours of volunteer medical providers within the community our mission could not be fulfilled. Additionally, this clinic has become a teaching environment for medical students, residents, nursing students, physical and occupational therapists and other medical specialties. What a wonderful way to show our young professionals true stewardship!
As we look to our future, we have many opportunities to assist people who need preventative and on-going care. We have heard from numerous patients that the Guadalupe Clinic was their only resource for care. Our caregivers work to deliver access to care in a variety of settings that takes the resources directly to our patients and within the communities identified at risk.
To continue this mission of service, we have many people and organizations to thank for our financial support. The Guadalupe Health Foundation, along with many other generous donors, foundations and businesses continue to provide the necessary funding to support our mission. I personally, want to thank each of you for your generosity and commitment to Guadalupe Clinic.
Please continue to pray for the patients who are being cared for at Guadalupe Clinic. Please pray for all leaders and providers as we guide this team through the challenges they face each day. Please pray that our mission to provide health and hope to those we serve remains our focus.
Thank you for your support.
